My first memory of Beulah— Traveling from Wakarusa Missionary Church to Beulah to be bap􀆟zed at age 13

A “God-moment” that I experience was— Our two sons being mentored by Youth Pastor Terry Bley

Another significant memory is— Heading up reloca􀆟on of Beulah from 9th & Blain and the building at the present loca􀆟on, moving away for 6 years only to return to Beulah to head up construc􀆟on of current sanctuary. God has blessed Beulah.

My first memory of Beulah— I came to worship in the spring. It was my first 􀆟me a􀆩ending and I had done some research on Missionary churches. My parents were willing to come with me. There weren’t many people, but the people that were there were so welcoming and approached my parents and me with so much kindness. The worship songs were so meaningful to me, it was clear God had meant for me to be there that day. Mike shared a wonderful two part sermon series on trus􀆟ng God through transi􀆟ons of life. When I spoke to Pastor Kelley and his wife Kelly, they were so kind, took 􀆟me with me, and I felt truly valued. I knew this was the church for me.

A “God-moment” that I experience was— God moments happen regularly for me at Beulah, but one thing I truly delight in is working at the coffee bar. I get to see Beulah come alive as the worship team is prac􀆟cing, and the small groups come in. I get to see the Holy Spirit working in and among the people that come. It is such a beau􀆟ful gi􀅌 to be able to serve.

My first memory of Beulah— Bible School - I loved Bible School. I remember one year Rev. Bacon was walking around with my brother Billy on his shoulders to get him to stop crying.

A “God-moment” that I experience was— When I was baptized at the age of 13 by Rev. Gordon Bacon.

Another significant memory is— I remember I played Mary in the Christmas pageant when I was 4 years old. I don't remember much from those years. We just stood on stage - no lines to say. But it must have been traumatic for me since I remember it.

My first memory of Beulah— My mother, Beatrice Fay Staley Fitzgerald, born 1215/27 passed on 2/22/2010. Fusako Kiebel, a Beulah member, saw me sad at work and invited me to Beulah. Other memories --Pastor Poe and Pastor Bryon Smith, Beulah's Passion Play, The Choice,

A “God-moment” that I experience was— Pastor Bryon Smith singing my hymn request at McNaughton Park (On the Wings of a Dove). Pastor Earl's Christmas Eve service, he asked me to read in the service. I tried to tell him that I'm shy, but he kept saying "you can do it." He wouldn't let me talk my way out of it.

My first memory of Beulah— I started attending after graduating college and moving to the area because of Greg. Everyone was extremely welcoming and they let me begin helping with music right away. There was an exceptional choir, with 3 other members who were music teachers. I started accompanying the choir and sharing the weekly piano responsibilities. In the olden days, we had one choir number and one or two special music pieces every week! When Greg and I got married in my home town 2 hours south, several families from Beulah drove down to the wedding, which was so thoughtful. Beulah felt like home to me immediately.

A “God-moment” that I experience was— Most of my God moments have been the opportunities I've had to contribute musically. After having children and not working for several years, I could still share those gifts and create lasting memories through children's choir, children's musicals, and adult cantatas. God provided an outlet for me that I didn't even realize I needed.

Another significant memory is— Possum bus trips were a unique and unforgettable time. Preparing service music, choral music, cantatas, kids musicals and being grateful that I was at such a musically inclined and gifted church! Church softball games were a significant part of our lives for many years, and our kids grew up being dragged out to the ball diamonds for hours every week. "Coffee Break" Bible study for women in the late 80's with child care provided was a bright spot every week, and ministered to other moms in the community, too. I've witnessed Beulah's many ups and a few downs over the years, and seen God's hand in it all,

the good and the bad. God has been faithful and steadfast to Beulah, and I have faith that will continue in an energized future.

I attend(ed) Beulah 1945 - 1953 and then from 2011 to present

My first memory of Beulah— Attending my first prayer meeting with my age group. And - the big all church picnic at McNaughton Park.

A “God-moment” that I experience was— After being saved (and sanctified) at Prairie Camp I was baptized at church by Rev. Bacon.

Another significant memory is— My parents had become active in the adult Sunday School. A class costume party was planned to be held at our house. After everyone had arrived another couple, completely hidden by their masks, showed up. My Mother told them they must be here for a neighbors' party, but by hand signals and head nods they insisted they were at the right place. She finally let them in and they went in to join the rest of the group. Even after much interrogation by the group, no one could figure out who they were. Turns out, they were the new pastor and his wife - Gordon and Phyllis Bacon.
